Refurbishment of four apartments in this prime South Kensington location, adjacent to the Victoria and Albert Museum. The property is Grade II listed with stuccoed front elevation and classical features. Each of the apartments were reconfigured to provide a cohesive large family residence, set over two floors. The property now has seven bedrooms and bathrooms, plus staff accommodation.
New services were installed to bring the property to modern standards, including unobtrusive air conditioning and heat recovery ventilation throughout. A structural glass extension was also constructed on the roof terrace. The interior is a juxtaposition of traditional and modern features, such as fibrous plaster cornices and minimalist stone and glass staircases. The home automation system incorporates climate control, window treatments, Lutron lighting and security.
